Each night is presented on two stages at The Far Out Lounge, the site of the annual AUSTIN PSYCH FEST. Some venue photos below + Halloween vibes from previous events to set the mood and get us all hyped for this one!

Please read below for important information related to the festival including wristband pick up, door/show times, and other stuff you’ll wanna Know Before You Go!

GETTING THERE

THE FAR OUT LOUNGE

NO VENUE PARKING - There is no parking at the venue, and public parking in the surrounding areas is very limited - we highly encourage folks to use alternate forms of transportation, especially if you are arriving closer to the evening hours.  

RIDESHARE - You can also use alternate forms of transportation - bus, bike, carpool, or take a rideshare. Rideshare pickup and drop off is at the North West corner of the venue off South Congress and Ralph Albanedo Dr. PRO TIP - schedule your Uber, Lyft or other rideshare in advance!  

PUBLIC TRANSPORT - you can take the 801 Rapid Bus from downtown to the area and there are three Park + Rides nearby: Southpark Meadows, South Congress and Westgate. Visit capmetro.org for more info on those and a trip planner to get you to Far Out from almost anywhere in the city.  

VALET - For those arriving early - you can pay to valet park at the venue. This lot fills up very fast so we only recommend using this option if you are arriving around doors. 


WRISTBAND PICKUP AND ENTRY

WRISTBAND PICKUP AT FAR OUT - Doors and box office open at 5pm on Friday, October 31 and 4pm on Saturday, November 1.

Please have your ticket barcode pulled up on your phone or printed out before approaching the venue, and ready to scan when you get to the door. Search for "See Tickets" in your email inbox, and you will find your tickets in the email body or in a PDF attachment at the bottom of the receipt email. If you are unable to locate your ticket, visit the help desk next to the entrance to be checked in with a photo ID.

GENERAL ADMISSION ENTRANCE - General Admission 2 Day and Single Day ticket holders enter through the main entrance on the south side of the venue.

DELUXE & GUEST ENTRANCE - Deluxe 2 Day and Deluxe Single Day ticket holders enter from the north door entrance off Ralph Ablanedo Drive. This is also the entrance that all guests, media, press and other folks who are not a regular ticket holder should go to.

BAG POLICY - Small purse size bags or record totes are ok. No backpacks, or larger bags.

REFUND POLICY - No refunds, when you buy a ticket it’s yours to keep. Event is held rain or shine.

RE-ENTRY POLICY - Patrons who are over the age of 21 may leave and come back into the event.

ALL AGES - Patrons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parental guardian. And entry is FREE entry for kids 8 and under. Children MUST wear appropriate ear protection and MUST be WITH their parental guardian at all times.

FOOD - Hungry? There are two awesome food trucks located on-site: Knuckle Sandwich, and Captain’s Pizza. There's also several restaurants across the street : Torchy's and Ramen Tatsu-Ya + two very legit food trucks just north of the venue on South Congress : SoCo Halal and El Norteño. And there’s a P Terry’s Burger a short walk away!

COSTUME CONTEST!

Costumes are encouraged! We’ve got killer prizes and a contest each night for Funnest, Weirdest and Overall Best costume hosted by DJ Dead Flowers and Metal As Fuck.
No masks at the entrance please - put your mask on after you enter.
No weapons or fake weapons!

LOST AND FOUND - The lost and found is located at the box office. After the event, we will take any found items to our office for safe keeping. contact us via email to see if we have your stuff! info@levitation.fm

PROTECT YOUR EARS - Don’t forget to bring ear plugs! Protect your hearing for a long life of music enjoyment - we’ll have some at the merch booth if you forget yours.

ADA SUPPORT - Both GA and Deluxe customers needing ADA access should report to the Deluxe / Guest line. For Service Animal needs please check the FAQ.

NEED HELP? - The medical and safety tent is inside the venue directly next to the Box Office.



BAG POLICY

For the safety of all attendees, your bag will be searched. To keep the line moving quickly, be a minimalist, so that security doesn’t have to search through a bunch of your stuff!

CAN I WEAR A MASK?

Yes, but please DO NOT wear a mask as you enter the venue and go through security. You can put your mask on after you go through security and enter the venue. Costumes are encouraged and we are hosting a Costume Contest both nights!

WHEN DOES THE EVENT START AND END?

Event hours daily:
FRI - 5pm-12am
SAT - 4pm-12am

The schedule and set times will be released closer to the event weekend. Headliners play toward the end of each night, with the last performance ending at the times above.


WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF TICKETS?

GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS

– You can buy GA tickets for a single day, or for both days.

DELUXE TICKET

– You can buy DELUXE tickets for a single day, or for both days. Includes these perks: Express Entry, Air Conditioned Restrooms, Private Bar & Service, Lounge Seating with Stage Views.

SHOULD I RECEIVE AN EMAIL WITH MY ORDER CONFIRMATION?

Yes. If you do not see your order confirmation in your inbox, make sure to check your junk/spam folder. If you have not received your confirmation or are having any other technical ticketing-related issues with your order, contact our ticketing partner See Tickets.


I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH MY ORDER – WHERE CAN I GET HELP?

CAN I UPGRADE MY GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET TO A DELUXE TICKET?

Yes, as long as Deluxe Passes or Tickets are still available for the show you want to upgrade, we can process this for you. To upgrade, purchase your new ticket and contact us to request a refund for the original General Admission ticket. The full price of the original ticket including all fees will be refunded. To request a refund, submit a request to the Customer Support team HERE.


I WANT TO BUY A 2 DAY PASS, BUT I ALREADY BOUGHT A SINGLE DAY TICKET – CAN I UPGRADE?

Absolutely! Purchase your new 2 Day Pass contact us to request a refund of the original ticket. The full price of the original ticket including all fees will be refunded. To request a refund, submit a request to the Customer Support team HERE.


I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND, CAN I GET A REFUND?

Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds. When you buy a ticket it’s yours to keep. You can sell your ticket via the official exchange on Tixel HERE


TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT TO THE SHOW I WANT TO GO TO. WHERE CAN I GET THEM?

There is one legitimate place for resold / 3rd party tickets, via the official exchange on Tixel HERE. Anything else may be a scam, please be wary of anything that sounds too good to be true! Bots and scammers run rampant on social media.


I WANT TO GIVE MY TICKET TO SOMEONE ELSE, HOW DO I DO THAT?

To transfer a ticket to another person, login to See Tickets and update the order with the new attendees information. For more information, visit THIS PAGE.


CAN I LEAVE THE VENUES ONCE I ENTER?

If you are 21+, you will be able to leave the festival venues and return. If you are under 21, you cannot re-enter the venue after you leave. Access is subject to venue policy. Please visit the venue door staff if you plan to leave and return.


Are there any age restrictions?

This is an ALL AGES event.

All attendees must present a valid ID.

Patrons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parental guardian.

Children 8 years old and under do not require a ticket to attend the show.


What are the accepted forms of ID?

– State Issued Driver’s License
– Passport
– US Uniformed Services ID Card
– Foreign Driver’s License
– Expired Driver’s License AND State-Issued Temporary (Paper) ID

Where can I park?

There is not parking at the venue. Metered on-street parking and private lot parking is available in the area. We strongly advise carpooling, ride sharing and taxis to make sure you get home safely!


Do you take credit or debit cards?

Yes, the venue be equipped to accept all traditional forms of payment.


IS THIS EVENT ADA ACCESSIBLE?

Yes, ADA guests will have free valet at the front entrance, and a special ADA seated area has been reserved at the venue. Outside chairs and camping chairs are not allowed. Please contact - info@thefaroutaustin.com venue for full details and accessibility specifications and to advance your needs. Although the venue itself should be your first point of contact for any questions, the safety and enjoyment of our guests is of great importance to us both personally and as an organization. Should you have any concerns and feel the need to contact us directly for any reason, please don’t hesitate to do so.


What about safety and medical needs?

If you need medical attention, please alert venue staff or member of security staff to assist you. In the event of an immediate safety concern or medical emergency, please call 9-1-1. A safe environment is a top priority for all of us in the Austin music community.

If you ever have an issue that you feel were not properly addressed or want to voice any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us, anonymously or otherwise, as we’ll be respectful of your privacy regardless.


Can I bring a camera?

Disposable, small digital photography and removable lens cameras will be allowed. No flash photography allowed. Audio and video recording devices are prohibited.

Additionally, please be respectful of other patrons and the artists when using your camera. Attendees who are not respectful of other attendees’ view and personal space will be asked to leave.


What can I bring and what is prohibited?

Rules and acceptable items may vary from venue to venue, but here’s a general list:

What’s ACCEPTABLE: Small purse or backpack, cameras. Please remember, everyone is subject to search and photography policies can vary from artist to artist.

What’s PROHIBITED: No chairs, no music instruments or equipment, alcohol, outside food or drink (including sealed water bottles), weapons, firearms, projectiles including glowsticks, video recording equipment, tri-pods, audio recording equipment and unauthorized merchandise.

Any person attempting to enter the venues with any of the prohibited item(s) above will be refused access, or at the venue’s discretion, allowed to give up the prohibited item(s) before entry. Confiscated items will be disposed of or given away at the venue’s discretion.
