Transient combines drums and electronics to paint a landscape that explores the sculptural qualities of beat-making, ambience, and movement. Sculpted with digital electronics, live improvisation, and studio manipulation, transient explores rhythm, timbre, texture, weight and pulse, and how they sonify our emotional landscapes. Inspired by free jazz, noise, sounds from the natural environment, and artists that span from Robert Hood, Los Muñequitos de Matanzas, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Arthur Russell, transient traverses a soundscape that goes from kinetic maximalism to delicate stillness, creating a listening experience that bends and warps time.
