Recorded live in an old jail in the Tremé district of New Orleans, Scott Ballew's 4th LP is his biggest sounding yet. While the focus remains on his layered and cinematic approach to lyrics, the fidelity and arrangements on Paradiso prove to be a fitting new sonic landscape for Ballew's storytelling.
