Formed in 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts, Pixies are one of the key acts associated with the late 1980's American alternative rock scene and were also considered a big influence on acts such as Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead. "These songs complete the picture of where the Pixies began, while hinting broadly at where they would end up - as a band very much unto their own".
