13 FROM THE 13TH FLOOR:

Love - Alone Again Or
The opening track to my favorite record of all time. The top of the top, circa 1967. Happy valentines as well to everyone out there.

Dennis And The Times - Flight Patterns
Some really great jangling 12-string magic with psychedelic overtones from Norfolk, Virginia circa 1967.

Little Phil & The Night Shadows - Psychedelic Illusion
The title says it all! This is a group that’s often overlooked but they were above the cut , fantastic! From the great Atlanta, GA.

Figen Han - Haydi Bastir
I acquired this Turkish gem of a 45 last week while traveling through Grenoble, France. I got lucky to find it!

Dirty Filthy Mud - Forest of Black
Wow! From Oakland, CA circa 1968. This one is so much fun it should be illegal.

Ramases and Selket - Mind's Eye
Great primitive drumming and string arrangements from this UK outfit circa 1968.

Deep Purple - Emmaretta
Scorcher from Richie Blackmore and Deep Purple circa 1969. So good!

Gonn - Doin' Me In
The Black Angels were lucky to play at Stubbs, Austin with these legends in 2017. The sound of 60’s garage , my favorite ! Their original 45’s are very hard to acquire.

The Graded Grains - Animal Magic
Raw UK psychedelic garage circa 1967.
They do a version of “Lucifer Sam” on the flip-side.

Margo Guryan - Love
Soft and fuzzy pop circa 1968 from this American singer/songwriter. What a wonderful voice !

McCully Workshop - Circus
Excellent South African psychedelia circa 1968.

Nick Garrie - The Nightmare of J B Stanislas
The dreamy sound of Nick Garrie, a really moving and beautiful record circa 1968. This was recorded in France when he was just 19 years old .

The Dovers - I Could Be Happy
One of my favorite 60’s garage groups. They were from Santa Barbara, CA and they have a special charming sound of their own.

Thanks for listening. See you next time!
