Pete Dello & Friends - It’s What You’ve Got
The frontman from the 60’s UK group Honeybus created this incredible masterpiece. I’ve always wanted to get a tattoo of this record cover, check the art.

The Nightcrawlers - Basket of Flowers
Excellent guitar jangle from the same group that brought us “Little Black Egg.” The epitome of 60’s garage, my favorite sound!

The Stooges - Ann
A dark and moody slow jam from these monsters of Detroit Rock n” Roll. This record was recorded by John Cale in 1969 and the story goes that it wasn’t easy.

The 13th Floor Elevators - Rollercoaster
From the band that inspired us to open a bar here in Austin, TX in tribute to them. They are credited for starting the entire psychedelic scene back in 1966. Legendary!

Amsterdam - Blue Steel 44
Some choice Psych from Holland circa 1970.

Ventures - Fuzzy And Wild
A fun track that stimulates the brain with fuzz and pop.

The Applejacks - Baby Jane
Thanks to my dear friend Sue Davis for turning me on to this. A great and snappy floor stomper circa 1964. They were way ahead of their time with this sound in 1964.

The Poppy Family - Where Evil Grows
Terry and Susan Jacks were probably one of the coolest couples in 1969. Terry Jacks is the one who had a hit with the freedom rock classic “Season in the Son.” Have a listen to more of their material, it’s excellent!

Marc Bolan - The Wizard
Pre T-Rex, maybe as a baby dinosaur? You can hear the unique guitar rhythm that made him who he is.

Fleetwood Mac - Albatros
Most people think of Fleetwood Mac from their Stevie Nicks years but there was this beautiful soul named Peter Green and he was the founding member of the group. Never to be forgotten, I’ve had the pleasure to talk about him with Mick Fleetwood on 2 occasions. BB King was once quoted to say “Peter Green has more talent in his little finger than I have in my entire body.”

Grand Funk Railroad - Got This Thing On the Move
A super scorcher from this power trio. The fuzzy amplifier used by the band was a brand called “West.” Also, the drummer was the lead singer!

The Moody Blues - Tuesday Afternoon (Forever Afternoon)
Mellotron magic on this classic masterpiece. We used to hear this on oldies radio here in Texas as kids and it never gets old.

Alice Cooper - Shoe Salesman
The sound was more psychedelic on the first record and he probably couldn’t help it at the time? Alice Cooper shows how incredible he was as a songwriter on this debut.
