The Flaming Lips + Mercury Rev is a collaborative project between two of the defining bands of American psychedelic rock, Oklahoma City's Flaming Lips, led by Wayne Coyne, and Buffalo's Mercury Rev, led by Jonathan Donahue. The two bands share deep historical ties (Donahue was an early Flaming Lip) and have periodically reconvened for live appearances and limited-edition releases.
