Chicago-based Brigitte Calls Me Baby span genres and eras, merging the lavish romanticism of mid-century pop with the frenetic energy of post-punk, new wave and early-millennium indie-rock. Originally from Southeast Texas, frontman Wes Leavins grew up hearing Roy Orbison at his grandparents' house next door, while his parents played albums by The Cars and Tears for Fears, and his friends turned him onto Radiohead and The Strokes. Their debut EP was produced by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb. Translucent Pink LP. 45 RPM.
