Levitation 2017

The festival cancellation in 2016 forced us to take a step back & rethink how we could continue the festival & avoid the possibility of another cancellation due to weather. The festival as we know it was not set to happen, but in March of 2017 James Traeger, from Night Beats, approached us with the idea of putting together a show to commemorate Austin Psych Fest / Levitation since our usual large fest wasn’t happening. That quickly turned into three nights of shows in Austin, including a show at Hotel Vegas & two others at Barracuda – one curated by Night Beats & the other by Golden Dawn Arkestra. It was a fantastic weekend that brought people together at some of our favorite venues in downtown Austin & kept the spirit of the festival alive.
